Celestial Corporation Holdings remains humble throughout its success. Our Founders has always had a strong passion for giving back to those in need. Charity is an important part of raising equality in an ever increasing unequal society.
The aim of Celestial Charity is to provide those in need with what they need to lead a successful and happy life. Celestial Charity operates with integrity and transparency.
Celestial Charity remains guided by fundamental values of compassion and impartiality. Our purpose is to ensure respect and equal opportunities for all the human beings. Celestial Charity makes no discrimination based on nationality, race, religion, class or political opinions. We just want to relieve the suffering of others and promote equality between all people. We are a purely voluntary organization and were not at all prompted with any intent for selfish gain. Our core principle is to act selflessly in all that we do.
Celestial Charity is striving to become one of the top and most recognized charity organizations in Singapore. We are the ideal charity for corporate sponsors who want to be sure that their aid is used in the most effective and cost efficient way so that those in need can really benefit. Overseas, poor communities are often very small and therefore are ignored by many development organizations that don’t have the time to take on such projects. At Celestial Charity we strive to operate at a local level. This means that poor communities will receive more targeted aid, which is ultimately the most effective way to give back. It also means we’ll reach those local communities that are not often the receivers of aid.
Although poverty in Singapore is not something we often think about given the wealth of the nation, it most definitely exists. With our cushy day jobs and busy weekends, these people who live at or below the poverty line are invisible to us. It is suggested that around 500,000 families in Singapore live below the ‘relative poverty’ line. The relative poverty line can be defined as the amount needed to survive in a certain place (including food, water and shelter) as well as the amount needed to avoid social exclusion. Social exclusion is the fundamental cause of the ‘poverty cycle’ because it creates a barrier for education and employment. You can’t run away from this reality. Singapore has one of the largest wealth gaps of all the developed economies in Asia. Wealth redistribution is necessary to spread wealth and success more equally in Singapore. Health care is one of the most pressing issues faced by the poorer families in Singapore. Health is the most important thing to every human being, and no one should be left without the healthcare they need. At Celestial Charity, we are dedicated to moving towards alleviating poverty in Singapore.
